Tintype photography, (or wet plate if you want to be a real freak about it), is something I've wanted to do since 2011 when I first saw them being shot as a volunteer at the Sundance Film Festival. It's a 165yo developing process that involves aluminum, silver nitrate, ether, and myself in my closet/darkroom attempting not to go blind. The result are eerie portraits of my friends that make them look like they're in the Civil War. If you're interested in a portrait let me know and we can work something out. Also keep an eye on my Twitter as I occasionally go out into the city with a portable set up and shoot stuff on the fly. I'll announce any of that there.
